It has occurred to me recently that I have never chosen anything. I was born into a role that had been prepared for me. I did everything I was asked to do because it never occurred to me to choose otherwise. And now, at the end of my life, I wonder what might have been.

Dear Friend:
When you woke up this morning, did you joyfully greet the day—happy to be where you are on your journey of life?
Think about this for a moment. Each day, each breath that you take, places you closer and closer to the end of your destiny—your mission—your journey of life.
- Day after day, working on jobs that are not satisfying, for people that can not be satisfied, to make money that is not enough to satisfy.
- Day after day, remaining in relationships that are not fulfilling, trying to please people that don't appreciate, only to result in constant feelings of emptiness and loneliness.
- Day after day, remaining in situations that cause unhappiness, hoping that each miserable day will be the last, only to realize another day's end—and situation unchanged.
What is that causes you to remain in your unfulfilling and unhappy places? Could it be fear of change—or fear of the unknown?
Fear captivates and causes you to remain in that unfulfilled place. Therefore, it is vital to remove all fear that would chain you to your unhappy and unfulfilled place. Free yourself of the thoughts and actions that would keep you captivated. Oh my friend, to be free means that you will live as you were purposed to live—enjoyably and fulfilled. To truly live and to live freely means that you will live fulfilling the purpose that God intended for you and only you.
In addition to abolishing your fear, you must choose to change. You must choose to change yourself, the situation, or both. Will your choice mean getting a new job, getting out of a bad situation, or fulfilling a desirable goal?
You are not held hostage on jobs that you don't like—in relationships that are unfulfilling—or situations that cause unhappiness. You must realize that you choose to be in these places if you do nothing to change the situation.
You see, most of us know what we should do, and yet rarely do what we know we need to do. Day in and day out, week after week, year after year—we remain the same—yet complain—and do nothing.
You have the choice to take action, or to remain where you are. To have an abundant life, or to simply accept the changes that situations, and circumstances in your life have dealt. Any day, any year, any time—you can start the process of life change—if you choose to. You can also choose—to do nothing.
I challenge you today to take the steps toward living life purposefully and fulfilling. To do what you love and love what you do. Each of us was born with a gift, and the very best that we can do is to give back to God by fulfilling His purpose in our lives. If you are doing anything contrary to who you really are, and what you really love, then you are robbing yourself of a fulfilling life. You are also robbing the world of your gift. Most importantly, you are robbing God of the gift that he has given to you— by not giving back to Him.
It is your decision to choose, to act, and then to persevere to live your life on purpose. Only you can make the choice to create change in your life. Only you can choose to live purposefully. ONLY You!!

Ecclesiastes 5: 18-20 What I have seen to be good and to be fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life which God has given him, for this is his lot. Every man also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and find enjoyment in his toil—this is the gift of God. For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart.
